DRYING DEVICE AND OPERATING/CLEANING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain cleanliness within a drying device and to facilitate cleaning within the drying device. SOLUTION: A casing 12 with a dry zone formed at the inside is divided into an upper side casing 20 mounted with dry air equipment 14 for clean dry air blown into the dry zone and a lower side casing 22 mounted with carrier equipment 18 for carrying a web 16. The upper and lower casings 10 and 22 each other are made to have a nesting structure to have airtightness and slidably fit each other.
