PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording unit in which a filter arranged at a part for connecting an ink tank is not deformed easily even if an external force is exerted. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording unit comprises an ink ejecting section 1 provided with a plurality of openings for ejecting ink, a holder member 40 provided with an ink supply channel 47 for holding an ink tank removably and transferring ink in the ink tank to the ink ejecting section 1, and a filter 31 arranged at a part of the holder member 40 for connecting the ink tank to cover the opening of an ink supply channel 46 wherein the rear surface of the filter 31 is supported partially by a supporting member 43 formed in the ink supply channel.
