PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve environmental pollution caused by splashing of paints by roller painting instead of by spraying, to allow non-pollution work in urban districts and to establish an application method of a water-based multicolor pattern finishing material providing a finishing pattern with excellent design. SOLUTION: In this application method, a water-based multicolor paint is uniformly applied to an irregular painting substrate containing an aggregate with a painting roller, then the applied paint is spread and pressed in the given direction with a pressing tool. A mesh-like porous roller is used for the painting roller, and a flexible trowel or knife flexibly coping with irregular painting substrate is used for the pressing tool for spreading and pressing. After application of the paint to the surface of the painting substrate with the painting roller, the paint is spread and pressed for finishing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
