Disclosed is a device for reproducing the contents which are provided by a contents providing server, so that the user may be notified of service-related information containing a pay broadcast or the like, thereby to confirm the service contents easily. The device comprises a contents processing unit for performing the contents reproduction, and a communication unit for providing the communications using a network. Further comprised is a template processing unit for receiving such service-related information from a network as contains service identification information indicating the contents service and key information relating to the contents service indicated by that service identification information, and for controlling the contents processing unit so that the contents indicated by that service identification information may be processed by using the service-related information. The template processing unit receives the service-related information at the contents reproducing time, and performs the transitions, as shown, to acquire the key information thereby to display another channel.
