An apparatus for automatically recording a broadcasting program is provided to previously analyze the preference of a user on the broadcasting program, thereby achieving automatic record of the broadcasting program. A program preference analyzer(100) counts the number of times a user watches each of programs. A memory unit(300) stores the counted number per program. A program selector(200) receives information on the number which is stored in the memory unit. If the counted number of watching with respect to a predetermined program is more than a reference value, the program selector outputs reservation information for recording the predetermined program at the broadcasting time of the predetermined program.
