<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclamation material with sufficient strength enabling loading work etc. by a heavy machine, in view of the problem of uneven settlement or the like caused by the load of the reclamation material itself and of a heavy machine etc. placed on the reclamation material when a predetermined sea area is reclaimed for land formation with the reclamation material having a high specific gravity like the earth, or the problem of land sinkage of the reclaimed part itself due to the load of the heavy machine placed on the reclamation material when aerated lightweight soil having insufficient strength is used instead of the earth etc. <P>SOLUTION: The reclamation material 1 includes cement, lightweight aggregate, and an aerating agent. The lightweight aggregate includes at least one selected from a group consisting of a fired product of expanded shale, a fired product of expanded clay, and a fired product of a waste material.
