PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve attachment property and design property by fitting a socket cover to a socket fixture and centering a cylinder set in a luminaire. SOLUTION: The luminaire comprises: the socket fixture 4 for holding a pair of sockets 3 for mounting a lamp 5; a cylinder set 8 composed of a cylindrical light-transmitting cylinder 6 for covering the lamp 5 and a cylindrical cap 7 mounted to the lamp 5 while holding both the ends of the light-transmitting cylinder 6; and a pair of cylindrical socket covers 9 that is inserted into the cylinder set 8 and is fitted to the socket fixture 4 while covering the socket 3 and the cap 7. The cap 7 has a projection 7a, and the socket cover 9 has an overhang section 9b that the projection 7a can come into contact. By moving the socket cover 9 to the outside in the longitudinal direction when fitting the socket cover 9 to the socket fixture 4, the overhang section 9b comes into contact with the projection 7a and brings the cylinder set 8 to the center in the longitudinal direction.
