A backlight assembly and an LCD comprising the same are provided to improve the color mixing degree and the uniformity of brightness, by forming side reflectors at circumferential surfaces of each LED(Light Emitting Diode) unit included in the backlight assembly. A light emitting part has a plurality of LED units(15) arranged in a matrix type. Each of the LED units is composed of a red LED(15R), a green LED(15G), and a blue LED(15B). A plurality of bottom reflectors(11) are respectively formed below the LED units. A plurality of side reflectors(13) are respectively formed at circumferential surfaces of respective LED units. |
