WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OUTPUT OF ACCESS PROBE USING NEIGHBOR SET LIST

A wireless communication terminal having an output control function of an access probe using a neighbor set list and a method thereof are provided to control a power value of the access probe by using a compensation table which stores compensation values corresponding to the number of neighboring base stations and a neighbor set list which records the number of the neighboring base stations in a PN(Pseudo Noise) overlapping region, thereby increasing a call access rate. A compensation value provider provides compensation values corresponding to the number of neighboring base stations. A controller(24) delivers the provided compensation values to an access probe adjustment unit(25). The access probe adjustment unit(25) adjusts output of an access probe by using the delivered compensation values. The compensation value provider comprises as follows. A neighbor set list(21) records the number of the neighboring base stations. A neighbor set list updating unit(22) updates the neighbor set list(21) by communicating with the neighboring base stations. A compensation value storage stores the compensation(power) values corresponding to the number of the neighboring base stations.
