A rod for a fishing rod is provided to restrain a generation of a void after firing by winding a prepreg on a mandrel without wrinkling or bending, and to have an outer periphery with a prescribed cone shape. The rod for a fishing rod comprises an inside layer(Aa), a middle layer(Ab), and an outside layer(Ac). The inside layer and outside layer are formed by winding slit tapes(1,3) on the whole rod in a helical shape, in which the slit tapes are manufactured by cutting a prepreg that arranges a reinforcing fiber(c) in a circumferential direction in a tape shape with a narrow width. An entrance-winding reinforcing pattern(5) is arranged on the terminal end of the rod of a more inside part of the inside layer, and a rod base-end reinforcing pattern(6) is arranged on the base end of the rod of a more outside part of the outside layer.
