A mobile communication terminal with a bell sound changing function in accordance with voice features and an operating method thereof are provided to decide on an emotional state by extracting voice features, and to automatically set a bell sound or an RBT(Ring Back Tone) according to the emotional state, thereby expressing a current emotional state of a user through the bell sound or the RBT. An input unit(10) inputs a voice. A memory(20) stores a bell sound in accordance with feature data of the voice. A controller(30) decides on features of the inputted voice, and automatically sets a bell sound or an RBT. The memory(20) comprises as follows. A voice DB(21) stores the feature data of the voice such as a basic frequency or a tone of the voice. A data unit(23) stores bell sounds classified by features of voices.
