The initiator with plastic to metal seal pyrotechnic layers comprises a cap containing at least one pyrotechnic charge, a base and a resistance, has the cap and base made from a composition material with dispersed fibers in a plastic matrix having a melting point of between 260 and 320 degrees C and a moisture intake rate preferably below 0.03 per cent in 24 hours. The matrix is reinforced by 20 - 45 per cent by weight of glass, carbon or mixed fibers.
