<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving auxiliary device capable of further safely stopping a vehicle in the event of failure of an operation part, a brake driving system or an accelerator driving system. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 50 controls, in the operation auxiliary device comprising the operation part 10 for instructing driving quantities of an accelerator pedal 90 and a brake pedal 80, which is manually operated by a driver, the brake driving system 60 driving the brake pedal 80, and the accelerator driving system 70 driving the accelerator pedal 80, the driving quantities of the brake driving system 60 and the accelerator driving system 70 according to the operation quantity of the operation part 10. When abnormality of the brake driving system 60 or the accelerator driving system 70 is detected, the controller performs processing for decelerating and stopping the vehicle.
