A method and an apparatus for scheduling in a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) are provided to divide a predetermined beacon period into an interval for transmitting a beacon message and an interval for receiving a beacon message, thereby preventing collision, interference, and etc. of the beacon message in transmission/reception of the beacon message and improving performance of the communication system by normally receiving the beacon message. A method for scheduling in a WLAN comprises the following steps of: setting a first interval(a,b) for transmitting a message generated during a predetermined period when a message to be transmitted from the first MAP(201) of MAPs(Mesh Access Points)(201,203,205,207) to MAPs(201,203,205,207) adjacent to the first MAP(201) is generated; and setting a remaining interval excluding the first interval(a,b) during the predetermined period as a second interval(0,a) for receiving messages from the adjacent MAPs(203,205,207).
