The device for the introducing of piece goods preferably packages (1) into a collecting box (2) has a first drive unit (6) which has two strands circulating around two deflection units (8,9) respectively, each of which by a parallel section (12,13) form a holding surface (14) for the box. A driver (15) is connected to one strand (10), and another driver (16) is connected to the other strand (11). The first drive unit has two servomotor drives, with the first drive (17) driving the one strand and the other (18) driving the other strand.
