A die plate for a die casting machine and so on capable of reducing die height as low as possible, a mold clamping apparatus for the die casting machine and so on having the die plate, a method of changing a mold in the die casting machine and so on using the mold clamping apparatus having the die plate, a method of changing a moving die plate of the mold clamping apparatus having the die plate, and a changing system for carrying out the method of changing the moving die plate are provided. A mold clamping apparatus for a die casting machine and so on comprises: a base(BS); a fixed die plate(FXPL) erected and fixed on an end of an injection side of the base; a moving die plate(MVPL) disposed on the base such that the moving die plate advances and retreats oppositely to the fix die plate; a guide means(18) disposed on the base in order to guide advancing and retreating movements of the moving die plate; a first drive means for allowing the moving die plate to advance and retreat on the guide means; a tie bar that simultaneously passes through a portion in the vicinity of a corner of each die plate and acts to maintain a mold clamping state of both die plates; and a second drive means for imparting mold clamping force between the fix die plate and the moving die plate, wherein the each die plate is formed in such a manner that a general mold for fastening and holding an insert die detachably can be received in the die plate. |
