An LCD panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the non-display area and realize a compact driving circuit, by using a mesh typed thin film transistor having the maximized channel width. A gate electrode(301) is formed on a substrate. A gate insulating layer is formed on the gate electrode. An active layer(305) is formed on the gate insulating layer. A plurality of island-shaped source electrodes(310) and drain electrodes(320) are alternately formed on the active layer. An interlayer insulating film has source and drain contact holes for exposing the source and drain electrodes. First to M-th source lines(311) are connected to the source electrodes through the source contact holes. First to N-th drain lines(321) cross the source lines, and are connected to the drain electrodes through the contact holes. |
