<p>The reproducer has a housing and a screen. A cover device (12) is arranged in the reproducer, where the cover device is formed of a rigid, single-piece plate. The cover device is designed from a transparent carrier material and is provided with a masking (13) on the screen in a mounted condition. The masking is applied only on a backside of the cover device and is formed from a foil, where the cover device is locked with the housing. An independent claim is also included for a cover device of an electronic image reproducer.</p>
