<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network failure judging method which can judge whether computers have failure or the network has failure, in a network system wherein a plurality of distributedly arranged computers are connected by the network. <P>SOLUTION: In the network system wherein the plurality of distributedly arranged computers 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 are mutually connected by a first network 1, and each computer periodically transmits a health check signal to the first network 1; the computer H11 receives the health check signals of the individual computers via the first network 1. If the number of computers from which the computer H11 cannot receive health check signals during an arbitrary period of time is smaller than a predetermined number, it is determined that there is something wrong with the computers from which the computer H11 cannot receive health check signals. On the other hand, if the number of computers from which the computer H11 cannot receive health check signals during an arbitrary period of time exceeds the predetermined number, it is determined that there is something wrong with the first network 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
