PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an air reservoir be hard to be formed in a branch way at the time of initial introduction of an ink. SOLUTION: In the ink jet head, a manifold passage having a plurality of ink supply ports at a passage unit and a plurality of individual ink passages communicating with the manifold passage are formed. A reservoir passage 94 which supplies the ink to the manifold passage through the ink supply port at the reservoir unit, and a drop passage 63 which drops the ink are formed in this center. The reservoir passage 94 includes six branch ways 76c communicating with a mainstream way 76b through a branch communication opening 94a formed near both the ends of a longitudinal direction of the mainstream way 76b and the main stream way 76b elongating in one direction. The six branch communication openings 94a are opened toward the longitudinal direction of the mainstream way 76b, and each has the same opening area substantially. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
