<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent associated constituent devices from being degraded by water supplied from a water-collecting tank. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system comprises: a fuel cell 1; a reformer 2; condensers 4, 5 for condensing water vapor generated by the fuel cell and the reformer; a water-collecting tank 7 for collecting condensed water produced by the condensers 4, 5; a water collection line 8 for guiding the condensed water produced by the condensers 4, 5 to the water-collecting tank 7; a water supply line 10 for guiding the water collected in the water-collecting tank 7 to the reformer 2; and a water supply pump 11 for discharging the water collected in the water-collecting tank 7 to the water supply line 10. While the system is in operation, water in the tank 7 is discharged by the pump 11 to the water supply line 10 and supplied to the reformer 2. An ion-removing filter 9 is provided in the water collection line 8. The system is further provided with a bypass line 12 for returning water to the ion-removing filter 9 after the water is discharged from the tank 7 to the water supply line 10, and a water shut-off valve 14 for allowing the flow of water to the water supply line 10 to be switched to the bypass line 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
