[PROBLEMS] To improve reliability in record reproduction by reducing noise due to scattering of an information beam and a recording/reproducing reference beam inside an optical information recording medium. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The hologram recording medium is provided with a substrate (11); a hologram recording layer (15) for recording an interference pattern formed by a first wavelength beam (2); a wavelength selecting reflection layer (14) provided between the substrate and the hologram recording layer for reflecting the first wavelength beam (2) and transmitting a second wavelength beam (3); a beam absorbing layer (13) provided between the substrate and the wavelength selecting reflection layer for absorbing the first wavelength beam; and an information layer (12) provided between the substrate and the beam absorbing layer for recording or reproducing information by the second wavelength beam.
