A portable terminal is provided to reproduce sound as a feature of a speaker by forming a reverberation space for the speaker such that it can improve a sound quality transferred to a user specially low pitched sound feature. A portable terminal comprises a main body case(110), a sliding case(160), and a speaker(170). The main body case(110) installs a button operation unit and a circuit unit. The sliding case(160) is combined with the main body case(110) such that it is capable of being protruded externally from the main body case(110) via a sliding movement, and forms a reverberation space closed in the protrusion state. The speaker(170) is installed within the sliding case(160) and can be put in the reverberation space which is formed by protruding the sliding case(160) from the main body case(110). The sliding case(160) has one open side, and makes one end of the main body case(110) be inserted into an internal space through the open side.
