SELECTION OF 1-OUT-OF-N SCRAMBLED CODE BLOCKS

An apparatus and a method for selecting one of the N number of scrambled code blocks are provided to detect and select a scrambled control channel among a plurality of control channels before a complete data block is received and an error is checked. A decode module(102) decodes input symbols from one of a plurality of scrambled data channels. A re-encoding module(103) re-encodes the decoded symbols outputted from the decode module(102). A comparing module compares an aspect of received symbols with an aspect corresponding to the decoded/re-encoded symbols and calculates a single value as an output. A determining module selects the best of the plurality of scrambled data channels based on an accumulative outputs of the comparing module.
