Disclosed is a joint compound composition, comprising by weight: (a) 50-60% calcium sulphate hemihydrate, (b) 5-15% of an organic binder in powder form, (c) 0.05-0.2% of a water repellent. The joint compound is useful for filling the joints between plasterboards to form a tapeless joint.
