PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of securing a large sucking region of a stencil during printing. SOLUTION: This printing device comprises a pair of clamping pieces 31a and 31b which hold/retain a substrate W between both sides, positioning means 41a and 41b which can be arranged on the substrate W during retaining the substrate W between the clamping pieces 31a and 31b, a stencil 51 which is arranged on the substrate W retained by the clamping pieces 31a and 31b in the state that the positioning means 41a and 41b are retreated to the side from the surface of the substrate W, and a squeegee 61 which applies/spreads a paste S from the surface of the stencil 51 to the substrate W by sliding the squeegee 61 over the stencil 51. The printing device is so structured that the stencil 51 can be placed on the retreat positioning means 41a and 41b, and also that a suction means 45 of the positioning means side which sucks the stencil 51, is installed on the upper surface of the positioning means 41a and 41b.
