PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an industrial antimicrobial agent that has an antimicrobial effect on a wide range of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, yeast, etc., and maintains the effect. SOLUTION: The industrial antimicrobial agent comprises an oxathiazine-based compound represented by general formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each mutually the same or different and hydrogen or a lower alkyl group) and at least one kind of a bromine-based industrial fungicide containing any of a bromine atom, a bromine atom and a cyano group and a bromine atom and a nitro group in a ratio to perform a synergistic effect.
