PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic electric compressor capable of enhancing efficiency during low-speed rotation. SOLUTION: A notch part 7c is provided on an upper wall of a compression chamber 13 of a cylinder block 7, and an annular oil feeding groove 23e communicated with inside of a closed vessel 1 via the notch part 7c in the vicinity of the bottom dead center of a piston 23 is provided on the outer periphery of the piston 23 so as to be recessed. When the piston 23 is at the bottom dead center, lubricating oil is stored in the annular oil feeding groove 23e, and at the time of compression (top dead center), lubricating oil is fed between the piston 23 and the compression chamber 13. Due to this, decline in refrigerating capacity caused by leakage of compression gas from the compression chamber 13 is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
