<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display menu data selected by user input in a peripheral apparatus according to control by a remote arithmetic unit for properly displaying usable resources. <P>SOLUTION: A user ID menu is fed from the remote arithmetic unit 6 to an image processor 4, and the image processor displays the user ID menu. In receipt of input of user ID information, the image processor transmits the user ID information from the image processor to the remote arithmetic unit. The remote arithmetic unit authenticates validity of a user by using the user ID information, and after the validity of the user ID information is confirmed, a device function menu is fed from the remote arithmetic unit to the image processor, while input of a function parameter to the image processor is allowed. In the image processor, job setting is received to transmit it from the image processor to the remote arithmetic unit. The remote arithmetic unit checks a user authentication result, and if the user authentication condition is affirmative, the remote arithmetic unit makes the image processor available. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
