The device has two tactile visual indicators (17, 18) activated in a random manner during a very short lapse of time and disposed transversely along the same line on both sides of a seat (2) reserved for a driver. The visual indicators are disposed symmetrically with respect to an axis of normal vision of the driver and are provided in the vicinity of an external boundary of the lateral vision field of the driver so that the driver acts on the indicators with his hands without turning his head to release or inhibit the control of a starter of a vehicle.
