摘要 <p>An indwelling needle device has a shield tube (4a), a soft outer needle (8) fixed to the front end of the shield tube, a hub (2) movable in an inner cavity of the shield tube and to which transfusion tube (3) is connected, and a hard inner needle (1) fixed to the front end of the hub and insertable into an inner cavity of the outer needle. The hub has a lateral penetration path (2e) penetrating to an inner cavity of the hub. A space (14) between the outer peripheral surface of the hub and the inner peripheral surface of the shield tube is communicated with the inner cavity (10) of the hub via the lateral penetration path, and a sealing section (2c) for keeping liquid tightness between the hub and the shield tube is provided at that portion of the hub outer peripheral surface which is more on the rear end side than the lateral penetration path. Engagement recesses (2b) are provided in the hub outer peripheral surface, on side walls on both sides of the lateral penetration path. A rear end engagement projection (12b) is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the shield tube, and the rear end engagement projection is engageable with the engagement recess when the inner needle is being received in the inner cavity of the shield tube. Sufficient opening area for communication with the inner cavity of the hub is secured, firm connection can be achieved between the hub side walls having the openings and the front end of the hub, and the hub can be constructed in a small size.</p>
