A loess composition for water purification in which air bubbles are uniformly dispersed to improve weight lightening and compression strength of the loess composition and prolong life of the loess composition accordingly, and which removes harmful bacteria contained in water and increases power beneficial to the human body by consistently emitting a large amount of far-infrared rays, and a water purification block using the same are provided. A loess composition for water purification comprises: 100 weight parts of loess; 3 to 5 weight parts of a foaming agent selected from the group consisting of silicon carbide, sodium bicarbonate, alumina powder, zinc powder, iron powder, and animal protein foaming agent; 2 to 10 weight parts of a solidification agent selected from a polymer cohering solidification agent containing a polymeric flocculant and clay, and a clay solidification agent containing clay; 10 to 30 weight parts of feldspar; 5 to 30 weight parts of an expandable mica group clay mineral; 5 to 15 weight parts of a fiber reinforcement formed of a polyester staple fiber or acetyl cellulose fiber with a fiber length of 38 to 64 mm; 5 to 30 weight parts of tourmaline; 5 to 30 weight parts of talc; 2 to 10 weight parts of activated carbon; and 30 to 200 weight parts of water. A water purification block(300) using the loess composition for water purification is characterized in that the loess composition is formed in a form selected from the group consisting of an embankment block, a vegetation block, a block, a brick and a board. |
