PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve further thinning a card connector 1 by strengthening the fixing strength of a contact 4(6) and an insulating housing 2 of the card connector 1 in case that the contact 4(6) is fixed onto the insulating housing 2 by insert molding. SOLUTION: In this connector, the fixing portion 41(61) of a contact 4(6) comprises a first fixing portion 46(66) and a second fixing portion 47(67), and is formed so as to be wider than a spring portion 42(62) as a whole, and the second fixing portion 47(67) is formed in such a may as to be connected to both sides of the first fixing portion 46(66) with a slant angle of less than a right degree, and as to be embedded in an insulating housing 2, as the result, the fixing strength of the contact 4(6) and the insulating housing 2 is enhanced by increasing an amount of resin molding the housing that fixes the contact 4(6) of the insulating housing 2.
