PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of performing a proper and weak field syetem control. SOLUTION: A d-axis correction current setting part 26 calculates d-axis correction current id by retrieving a prescribed map set in advance based on q-axis target current iq* set by a q-axis target current setting part 25 and rotating speedωcalculated by an angle detecting part 21 based on a detection signal outputted from a rotary sensor 10d. A d-axis target current correcting part 27 corrects d-axis target current id* by setting a value obtained by adding d-axis correction current id to d-axis target current id* (id*=0, for instance) set by a d-axis target current setting part 24 as new d-axis target current id* (id*←id* +id).
