PURPOSE:To increase the flow quantity of a refrigerent at the early stage of cool down by forming a valve seat with a profile memory alloy increasing the opening of a valve port when the inside of the valve becomes a predetermined temperature as the pressure and temperature of the high pressure liquid refrigerent is increased. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature in an expansion valve 5 is increased to 60 deg.C-70 deg.C or more due to the inflow of a high pressure liquid refrigerent C into the expansion valve 5 as the pressure and temperature of the high pressure side is increased at the early stage of cool down, a profile memory alloy forming a valve seat 20 is deformed to enlarge a valve port 24. Therefore, the flow quantity of the refrigerent is increased accordingly, thus the cooling is improved at the early stage of cool down. Then, when the cooling progresses gradually and the pressure and temperature of the high pressure liquid refrigerent C are decreased than those of the early stage of cool down, the temperature in the expansion valve 5 is lowered and the valve port 24 is returned to its original size. |
