PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake cover of an elevator hoist machine superior in work efficiency and capable of securing airtightness. SOLUTION: This elevator hoist machine 1 is set in a pit formed on a bottom part of an elevator shaft and is furnished with a motor 2 to drive a sheave around which a rope to elevate a passenger cage is wrapped and a brake 3 to brake this motor 2, and the brake cover of the elevator winding machine to cover the brake 3 is furnished with a lower cover 10a an end surface of which is adherently fixed on a side surface of a flange 2b for covering a lower part of the motor 3, an intermediate plate 10b a lower surface of which is adhered on an upper surface of the lower cover 10a and an end surface of which is adhered on a side surface of the flange 2b and an upper cover 10c a lower surface of which is adhered and fixed on an upper surface of the intermediate plate 10b for covering an upper part of the brake 3.
