<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the generation of rubbing due to a peeling claw of a fixing device and capable of suppressing the curled quantity of printing paper to be re-fed without adding apparatus and materials. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 100, the rotational speed of a fixing/discharging roller 35 is held at a suitable speed faster than that of a heating roller 35 so that image dirt is not generated due to the rubbing of printing paper PP by the peeling claw in the fixing device 30 and the rotational speed of inverted carrying rollers 37a, 37b, 37c to be used at the time of re-feeding of paper by an automatic both-sided device 170 is set to a speed slightly faster than the rotational speed of the heating roller 33.
