PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater device and a semiconductor integrated circuit body for saving the quantity of a sealing agent such as resin. SOLUTION: This repeater device is configured to relay a semiconductor integrated circuit 12 equipped with an optical communication element for performing optical communication, and a substrate for assisting the optical communication. A hollow portion K is formed as depressed from the surface on a relay substrate 14, and a transparent member is exposed from the hollow portion K through which rays of light for optical communication are transmitted.
