PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation device capable of starting simulation by easily defining a flexible medium anywhere on the way of a conveying path without performing the work for selecting or forming a straight part when initially arranging the flexible medium. SOLUTION: The flexible medium is formed into a desirable shape comprising a straight line and a circular part (S111), and divided into rigid components (S12). An angle formed by the formed rigid components of the flexible medium is computed (S13). Angle at 0°is computed in the part formed by the straight line, and angleϕis computed on the basis of curvature and the number of division in the part formed by a curve. Motion computing is started (S14). In the case wherein the angle computed in the step S13 is not 0°, restoring force for returning the angle to 0°is applied to each of mass points from the first step of the motion computing (S15).
