OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a head of an occupant to a center side in a vehicle width direction of a vehicle in a relatively short time and to suppress the head of the occupant from being brought into contact with a roof of the vehicle at lateral falling of the vehicle in an occupant crash protection device for a vehicle.

SOLUTION: Seat cushion air bag units 51 are provided on respective seats and have seat cushion air bags 51a. The seat cushion air bag 51a is stored in a portion of an inner side in a vehicle width direction of the seat cushion 33 of the seat and supports the portion of an inner side in the vehicle width direction of buttocks of the occupant P seated on the seat. The seat cushion air bag 51a becomes from the inflation state to the contraction state when the side collision or lateral falling of the vehicle 1 is forecasted by a controller. Thereby, the head of the occupant is moved to a center side in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle 1.
