PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device wherein the precision of temperature detection of a temperature detection means is improved to obtain stable fixing performance. SOLUTION: A fixing device 30 includes a fixing belt 36 which is stretched around a fixing roller 34 and a heating roller 35 and is rotated, a pressure rotating member 33 pressed to the fixing roller 34 so as to sandwich the fixing belt between them, and a heat source 41 for heating the fixing belt 36, and a paper 11 is caused to pass within a nip part 31 formed by the fixing belt 36 and the pressure rotating member 33 to fix an unfixed toner image T onto the paper 11. The fixing device 30 is provided with a non-contact temperature detection means 50 for detecting a temperature of the fixing belt and an energizing member 47 for giving tension to the fixing belt 36 by the roller 45, and an angle of installation of the non-contact temperature detection means 50 can be adjusted.
