PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand strap capable of solving problems that a hand-holding portion the hand strap provided on a riding vehicle such as a tram car and a bus is formed of a hard material, and a force and the weight are concentrated on a part of fingers to cause pain and fatigue; the hand-holding portion is small, and cannot be gripped with the force over the entire fingers, and a person is in a dangerous condition when the tram car or the bus is rolled. SOLUTION: An assist tool formed of a flexible or elastic material is carried when a person gets on a riding vehicle such as a tram car and a bus, and used by holding it between the hand strap and the fingers by a method for mounting the assist tool on a holding portion of the hand strap.
