PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the treatment of the troublesome looseness of an AC code, to enable the operability for both an AC and a DC to control the current strength, to regularize the traveling of a cleaner and to improve the traveling capacity to automatically escape when fallen down in an entrance stile. SOLUTION: A cleaning robot is equipped with a gear box for the traveling in the X direction and a gear box for the traveling in the Y direction. It is made to travel in the X direction, the Y direction, the X direction, the Y direction, etc. by alternatively switching two ground connections. For an obstacle in the Y direction, a sensor is disposed in the Y direction to solve the problem by a combination of a control plate, a gear, a SW and a pin or the like. The shape is made square, and the dirt and the dust are moved aside and sucked by using a combination of the exhaust air and the suction air when the end is detected. The code is not locked. For the detection of the end in the X direction, a mechanism automatically detects and switches instead of disposing a sensor. A suction fan is forcibly actuated from the detection of the end until the switching and the suction force is controlled in the other period to reduce the current consumption.
