<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing load on the operation control of a guide member inside a variable winning ball device in a game machine in which the variable winning ball device is turned to an open state in a start game state. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer 60 for game control updates the value of a position counter in a prescribed numerical range (1-4, for instance) at all times.
