<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is a limit in physical properties of an optical disk so that speed increase is limited within the range. <P>SOLUTION: As for a 1st invention, the optical disk device is provided with: a plurality of optical pickup parts capable of simultaneously accessing one surface of the optical disk; and an operation control part for controlling the operation of the plurality of optical pickup parts.
