The method involves applying inflation and deflation cycles to inflation cell series (S1, S2) during which a series is inflated and deflated till the transport and threshold pressures, respectively. A threshold pressure residual value is measured at the end of the deflation cycle. A set point value to be assigned to the transport pressure is fixed based on the residual value and is applied to the inflation pressure.
