The arrangement has lamella coats formed by lamellas (22) aligned parallel to one another, where one of the lamellas is attached to the rear wall of a vehicle compartment. The length of the lamella coats is measured transverse to the longitudinal axis of the lamellas. A load cable (24) is fastened to a side of the outermost lamella, so as to change the length of the lamella coats for activating the arrangement. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a covering arrangement.
