PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display having a pixel thin film transistor in which leak current is suppressed. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display comprises a pixel thin film transistor, a protective film formed on the pixel thin film transistor, and a pixel electrode formed on the protective film and connected electrically with the pixel thin film transistor, wherein the pixel thin film transistor has a semiconductor film, a gate electrode, a source electrode and a drain electrode, the semiconductor film has an edge which does not exist between one of the source electrode or the drain electrode and the other of the source electrode or the drain electrode, one of the source electrode or the drain electrode has a portion extending arcuately while being branched, and the other of the source electrode or the drain electrode is surrounded by the portion extending arcuately while being branched.
