PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus capable of sufficiently supplying dissolved oxygen to microorganism even if the amount of treatment water is suppressed and thereby saving the running cost. SOLUTION: The garbage treatment apparatus 1 having a treatment tank 2 for decomposing garbage by microorganism under a condition of stirring garbage with treatment water 4 is provided with a bubble generation apparatus 14 having an aperture part 15 opened to the treatment tank 2 and installed in the treatment tank 2. A mesh type filter 16 is preferably attached to the aperture part 15. The aperture part 15 of the bubble generation apparatus 14 is preferably opened in a lower part of the treatment tank 2.
