PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumed capacity of a memory required for downloading software. SOLUTION: The household electric appliance adaptor includes: a writable/erasable memory 11 for storing the downloaded software; an adaptor control section 30 for carrying out processing on the basis of the downloaded software; and a download control section 27. The download control section 27 sequentially overwrites the software that is divided onto the memory 11 so as to store part of the software required for operations finally to the memory 11 as its control.
